Nothings perfect. And that includes OS X. It truly dominates Windows 7 with it’s features and ease-of-use, as I am sure anyone reading this will agree. After all, we would pay for a Mac otherwise, would we?
Call me picky, but their is one small area where Microsoft have trumped the OS X window management. I believe in Windows 7 they call it “Snapping”. On a Mac, we can now call this a “Cinch”.

Cinch In Action
The screenshot above was taken as I dragged safari to the edge of my screen. These dash-edged boxes represent the area that Cinch will resize the window to fill. Cinch has three of these areas on your screen.
Dragging a window to the top of the screen it resizes it to fill the entirity of the top of the screen. If you drag it to the left Cinch will resize the window to fill the entirety of the left of the screen. Now, I’m sure you can work out what happen when you drag it to the right. Thats right. It fills that right side of the screen.
In terms of the functionality of the program that is it. Simple is what Cinch is. Simple is what all of the best applications are. For me, Cinch is one of those applications that is god saver. When you have a monitor that is big enough for reviewing two windows alongside each other Cinch is one of those little Gems that just makes life that little bit easier.
